Chocolate Peanut Cookies

Chocolate Peanut Cookies are good textured rich cookies that make a change for tea or coffee.


Margarine/ Butter – 1 Cup.

Castor Sugar-  ¾ Cups.

Plain Flour – 1 ¼ Cup.

Baking Powder –  ½ Tsp.

Cocoa Powder – 2 Tbsp.

Salted or Plain peanuts – 1 Cup.



  1. Cream butter and sugar till light.
  2. Add the flour sieved well with cocoa and baking powder alternately with peanuts to form a dough.
  3. Shape into balls and flatten the balls slightly with your thumb.
  4. Place on a greased baking tray and bake in a preheated oven for about 170 degrees  centigrade for 15-20 mins.
  5. Leave it in the oven for 5 mins before transferring on to a cooling rack. Cool and serve with tea. Makes about 25 cookies.
